Recently I thought I’d be super slick and send out feelers to Matt on a gift idea I had. He was mildly impressed, and pointed out that he had something similar. [Deflated]. Why is it so tough to buy gifts for guys??! I can’t possibly be the only gal out there who feels this way!
This set me on a mission to figure out what are the top things no guy would be “meh” about. After all of this very intense research I came up with five of the top gifts for guys that are simply too good not to share with you all. At the beginning of each month I’m going to post the best gift ideas at all different price points that have passed a panel of the most critical guys I could find.
Here are the top five gifts for guys…
Experiences
Even if it’s something he’s done before, having a surprise experience is a winning idea. Three top ranking ideas:
- Fly fishing lessons
- Whiskey/Scotch tasting
- Sporting event
Iconic Notebook
Help him get in touch with his inner boss man, artist, or creative with this Moleskine notebook. Known to be a favorite of Vincent van Gogh, Ernest Hemmingway, and Pablo Picasso, he would be in good company to use it.
Cologne
Okay I know cologne can be a tough one to pick out for a guy, but I found a solution for you!! Fulton & Roark makes these awesome solid colognes which is perfect to travel with or throw in a gym bag.
And the winning point is for less than $20 you can get a sample pack of all eight of their fragrances plus a coupon for the cost of the samples. Let your guy try it and love it, then use that free credit to put towards the one you love to smell one him. Confidence, sexy, and savvy all at once. Did I mention it’s less than $20?
Watch
When a watch becomes the official trusted timepiece for adventurers and special forces around the world, there must be a reason, right?
If your guy is a first responder, emergency or critical care doctor/nurse/tech, then this is the watch for him. If he’s an office worker on the weekdays and outdoorsman, athlete or adrenaline junkie on the weekend (or just wants to look the role), this is the watch for him. If you want the perfect masculine watch to “borrow” from your guy, then THIS IS THE WATCH FOR HIM! Seriously, this watch is major. Just based on design alone, my husband gets stopped frequently about his Luminox. Functionally it does not disappoint either – unique luminescent design, extreme durability & precision. I’d say you couldn’t find a better watch at this price point but the truth is this watch can stand it’s ground against a price bracket many times greater than its own.
Earbuds
To be honest, there’s not a ton of techy items I could get excited about, but these earbuds that marry Alexa & Bose make me swoon. These tiny wireless earbuds are responsive to Alexa & with a quick tap-hold gesture, your regular Siri/Google Assistant. Use your voice or tap to turn the Bose noise reduction on or off. Take them outside or to the gym since they’re rated against sweat and rain. And, since Amazon & Whole Foods are an item, there’s some super fun perks there. A personal fave on the coming-soon skill list: being able to stroll the aisles of your local WF and ask Alexa if <insert item> is in stock and where it’s located.
So there you have it friends!
My top 5 favorite gifts I’m loving for guys right now.
I’d love to hear from you…what are your favorites from this list? Or is there something else that makes your top-5 list of gifts to give?
