SWOON WORTHY SUMMER DRESSES comin at ya here!! Seriously.
While casually scrolling through some sales, I stumbled on some of the prettiest summer dresses (and jumpsuits) I’ve seen in a while! Such a great mix of florals, classic looks, and trendy cut-outs. If I could, I would have bought one of everything and packed them all on my next vacation. Or really any excuse I could find to wear them.
Vacation? Check. Date night? Check. Wedding guest? Check. Picking up your mail from the end of your driveway? Sure, why not. Sharing these gorgeous summer outfits with you because I’m sure you will love them too!!
What Dresses Are Trending Right Now?
This year more than ever, I have appreciated the long flowy maxi dress. Serve it up plain or in a floral print and I can’t get enough.
One of the hotest trends for summer dresses are cut-outs. They can be super subtle like just in the back, side, or a front keyhole. Another big trend is in the DETAILS. Things like having a lace up back, wrap front, or flutter sleeves are so popular.
Also, COLOR is very in. Instead of neutrals, opt for trying something bright! That alone can take an otherwise boring dress and make it a 10. And this is coming from a self-proclaimed neutrals lover!! Try the brights, you’ll like them.
The Prettiest Summer Dresses
These are a mix of classic and trendy dresses. I recently shared a bunch of budget-friendly dresses from Target and they were such a hit! These dresses I found are a mix of Lulus and Fortunate One – both are relatively new shops to me and I really love the options and quality from them!!

This pretty floral dress would be perfect for travel because it packs small but doesn’t get overly wrinkled. When I took it out of the packaging I did a quick steam in a few areas and it was good to go! I think the smocking and off-the-shoulder sleeves are so cute! The dress has two slits in the front which were a little high for me so I did a quick fashion hack and used my double stick tape to bring the slit to a level that I feel comfortable with. It was the easiest trick and you totally cannot tell! I’m wearing a small and if this color isn’t your jam it comes in a bunch of others.
This floral halter dress has so many cute details! The skirt has pretty tiered layers and is thick enough that it is not at all see through. The cutouts wrap from the back to the sides, and then there is an exposed zipper on the back of the top. Not only is this dress so comfortable to wear, it is also super flattering. I can picture this being a perfect dress for dinner, brunch, or visiting a winery. It would even make a great dress for an outdoor wedding!
OK this linen blend jumpsuit is such a stunner!! I think the color is so great for summer and even into fall. The downside to it is taking it off could be a bit tricky (as in don’t rush the bathroom break lol). I had to untie the back and then slip the criss-cross straps over my head to slide it down. But then again jumpsuits and bathrooms are always complicated haha. I don’t think that makes it a deal breaker at all (especially for how gorgeous and high-quality it is), but I do think it’s something to be aware of before you decide to buy it!
